No sleeping until 1 pm.

Parents, Do you want to know how to get your gaming teenagers to wake up early and not sleep their summer away ? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Pick about two days a week and put it in the schedule that if they want to play games on those days, they have to play from when they wake up and be done at 1 pm. (We established guidelines of no waking up at 3am.😏) *

That has been my new summer rule for my gamers and it’s funny how they are wide awake at 7:30 ready to play. 🎮 ☀️🌈



The best thing about this and the reason I made this rule is because I want set times when I could decide on a whim to go hiking 🏃🏼‍♀️or exploring with the kids and I didn’t want to fight the pull of games. Now I know that Tuesday and Thursday I have the afternoons to choose spontaneous adventures. 😃I also said on Monday they can’t start playing until 3 for the same reason….we can do something in the morning. Friday and sat is no planned times and there are no electronics (except tv as a family) on Wednesday and Sundays.

I wrote this on the huge chalk board wall in my kitchen so there in no confusion and mama needing to remember what in the world today is. So far it is working great! .
